EXPRESS SUMMARY

The EVE-olution Foundation’s goal is to match one under-utilized resource with one under-recognized potential and to make them full partners in creating a world where opportunity and sustainability are undertaken as universal values for future generations.

The success of development aid is based on the results achieved not only on the resources spent.

    1. Exodus

In 2015 we will be more than 7 billion with more than 60 % living in urban areas. In Latin America this figure is already approaching 70% and this exodus is still increasing with all its consequences …..
By 2030, 2 billion people will live in slums which, as the International Criminal Police Organization recognizes, is “[a] nest of drug traffickers, weapons dealers, corruption, people smugglers…”
In big cities, 40% of housing can be classified as slums.

The successful rural women entrepreneurs are able to maintain family stability. Not only are husbands and even children no longer forced to seek employment in the city, but also family members will be motivated to come back from the slums.

Successful women entrepreneurs in rural areas impact employment generation, enhance economic activity and increased income of the family

    2. Women in developing countries

Faith Popcorn has written:” By the year 2005, 40% of all firms will be female-owned in USA and 4 out of 5 Japanese small businesses owner are women”

Why not in developing nations ?

    3. Cultural diversity and cultural heritage

Exodus of rural communities is the death of their cultural heritage

Through its actions, EVE-olution is participating in the end of this exodus; this is the only way of keeping their heritage alive.

    4. Export

We all know that limiting oneself to a domestic market is often an act of suicide.
Consistent development of a country is associated with exports and tourism.

EVE-olution affirms these statements by using its international network of coaches to seek opportunities (new demands) and to promote the “EVE-products” (presented in 22 languages on our website) through a network of more than 5000 women’s associations.

    5. Retired Executives

The number of retired people is increasing (Americans over 65 will nearly triple by 2030) and is getting younger. They are in a good health and their desire to remain productive is steadily increasing.

This enthusiastic group of “coaches” will create a “new deal.” Their experience and success will enable women entrepreneurs to grow.
They are prepared to use their own worldwide network of friends and colleagues to assist emerging women entrepreneurs to export and expand.

    6. Funds

The World Bank, IMF, … are giving money to countries following a top-down strategy.

The EVE-olution Foundation is calling upon the private sector to fund its bottom-up operations. The foundation will never distribute money.

    7. Operation Process

The development aids are very often given at the government level on a top-down strategy

Strategically and financially, each EVE-olution operation is independent and self-directed.

    8. Coaching v Money

Give a man a fish and you feed him for the day. Coach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

Operation funds are restricted to matching the coach to the entrepreneur and to supporting the expenses incurred.

    9. One way ahead

The lack of jobs opportunities for males is a source of hostility, crime and even civil unrest in communities.

Strengthening women entrepreneurs in rural areas has the potential to generate jobs for husbands and sons.

    10. Children

Children who are growing up in financially insecure families have less access to education and health care.

EVE-olution designs its strategies to improve children's lives by strengthening women entrepreneurs and their families and, at the same time helping to build a sustained commitment to putting children (and future generations) first.

    11. The key to the future

Governments cannot deliver sustainable development on their own (Johannesburg 2002)

The EVE-olution Foundation has an alternate strategy: rural women entrepreneurs are more likely to commit to sustainable development and more apt to become role models.

Are these women the key to the future of the Planet ?

  Retired Executives Coaches :
The network of retired business owners and executives is dedicated:

1/ to educate and empower new women entrepreneurs, we have already detected, with the help of local authorities and associations. We will run workshops to prepare them to undertake this new way of work.

2/ to coach small business owned or/and lead by women. Our role is to find out the needs of those SMEs and find the right counselors to maximize their performances.
